Welcome to the portfolio of Charles Weber

I am currently studying industrial design at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Before my decision to pursue design I received a bachelors degree in architecture from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and worked professionally in Portland, Oregon following graduation.

My work strives to be honest, intuitive and lasting. This ethos stems from my commitment to design for sustainability. I feel that responsible material choice and confronting the culture of consumerism are significant issues that should be met with creativity and sense of opportunity. I believe that this is imperative for a environmentally and socially equitable society.

My strengths lie in my ability to craft meaningful concepts and develop appropriate solutions through hands-on making. I have an exceptional attention to detail and an aptitude for collaborating in a team environment. The broad range and scales of issues waiting to be tackled is a truly exciting challenge, one that I hope to use my skills to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
